Group Benefits
Below is a partial list of benefits available to the group. To attend a meeting and avail of these benefits just sign up on this site or contact us at info@mmug-ireland.org.
The Human Benefit
The number one benefit of any user group is having access to other Adobe users in your area and around the world. When your trying to learn new software or working on a new project, having access to other developers to help you out can be priceless. This is by far the most important part of any user group.
Other Benefits
- Pre-release Access – periodically there will be open sign ups posted through the manager’s list for participation in product betas.
- Software Raffles – groups are allowed to raffle one copy of software every 6 months, the price of which may not exceed $ 2,100, to drive attendance at their groups. The periods run from Jan-Jun and Jul-Dec.
- Adobe Community Summit – once a year Adobe invites members of their community programs out to their San Jose Headquarters for several days of product presentations, corporate roadmaps, training and networking. Watch the list for more information and an invitation.
- Certification Exam Vouchers – groups will receive one free exam voucher per calendar year that they may use as a raffle item or keep for personal use.
- Certification Study Groups – managers who want to form a certification study group will receive some certification study guides as available as well as discounted exam vouchers.
- Care Packages – every 6 months groups with an active web site and a current meeting scheduled will receive a promotional package. Groups with outdated or unreachable web sites will not receive a package and risk program removal.

Potential Free Meeting Space:
New Horizons – there is an offer from fellow user group manager, Mark Sapoznikov regarding potential meeting space at New Horizons. Mark is affiliated with New Horizons and had graciously offered to contact any location on your behalf to inquire about using the local New Horizons facilities as your meeting space.
The first step is to make sure that New Horizons has a training center in your area. To do so, please visit http://www.newhorizons.com. You will see a drop down at the top right of the screen to “Find Locations.” If New Horizons does have a center in your area and you are interested in exploring it as a possible meeting space please shoot Mark and email at: mark@wgdforum.com and he will see what he can do.
Publishers: Register your group with these publisher programs to receive free books for your group. Use them to build a user group library or to award as door prizes at meetings.
