OVERVIEW: Flash and After Effects Together
Learn how Flash and After Effects can be used together to create in ways
that would be complex with either tool alone. In this session we will
take a look at creating ‘Hollywood style’ text animation effects, and
then bring them into your Flash project for use on the web. Then we will
flip-it. Learn how to add ‘post’ effects to your Flash animations in
After Effects to add richness, and a broadcast quality finish to your
project.

Tech Wednesday: Flex SDK Goes Open Source

I recommend any developers who use ASP, PHP, JSP or any other programming language to give this a look. It may sound unimportant but if you listen to this presentation you’ll see this is a huge thing.

For over a year now Adobe has been offering a presentation nearly each week on Wednesday. The topics are wide and cover a lot of ground. I have started placing the links here for everyone to enjoy but since it’s been going on for over a year, there are a ton that I have missed. What I have done is placed a list below of each Tech Wednesday that has passed already. Usually they leave the recorded version online for people to watch, so if you see something below you’d like to watch just let me know and I will dig up the link.

This week we have a great overview and run down on the new Flash Media Server 3 from one of the developers named Kevin Towes. He discusses some of the new features and talks about the future of flash video and what we may expect to see in the near future.

Kevin used to be an Adobe User Group Manager as well so we know his presentation is going to be exactly what we want to know about a great Adobe product.

I have had a few questions recently about Adobe Flex and have since found a great overview presentation and decided to share it with you all.

This presentation is by James Ward who works for Adobe and it’s using Macromedia Breeze (Now Acrobat Connect Professional) software to give the presentation.
