For those of you who are interesting in playing around with the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player version 9, today there is now an update.

This new version is only a beta and bound to bit a bit buggy but with it comes a whole lot of new features. One of the most talked about new features is the fact that it will now support a much wider range of video options including the ever popular H.264. You may be asking yourself what does this mean? To put it in a nutshell it basically means that flash video is going to get a lot better. With sites like YouTube and Google Video all using flash as their means of playing videos this only makes sense. Here is a great article written by one of Adobe’s Flash developers.

What just happened to video on the web?

To get your hands on a copy visit the Adobe Labs site using the link below. You might need to get an Adobe Id but it’s free and easy to do so go ahead and sign up.

With their clean flash interface and smooth matrix-like overview, you can see your speed from different locations and get a real geographical idea of exactly where the data is traveling during the test.
