About Us
The Multimedia Users Group of Ireland is based in Donegal and was previously a Macromedia Users Group but with recent changes at Macromedia we have decided to make the group a bit more universal. This means anyone who uses multimedia is welcome to join us for free on the third Monday of every month. Visit our event calendar on the main page for more information about our next meeting.
Where We Meet
We are currently looking for a regular place to meet. If you have any suggestions or ideas please let me know at chris@mmug-ireland.org.
Ideally we would like a place with WIFI or High Speed Internet Access, an overhead projector and some work stations with adobe products installed such as a school or training facility.
In the meantime we are informally meeting at the Silver Tassie on the Ramelton Road where they have free WIFI so we can view sites and do other online activities.
Why We Meet
The purpose of the group is to give both novice and advanced multimedia users a chance to learn and share ideas about multimedia.
What We Do
We meet once a month to talk about projects or issues we may have with Adobe or other multimedia tools. Share ideas and tips about how to do things easier or better. We will also have guest speakers from time to time who work as multimedia professionals. Users will also have access to group resources and tools for education and training, such as books or tutorials submitted by or donated to the group.
Who We Are
We are both professional and amateur users of any Adobe or Macromedia product such as Flash or Photoshop. We are computer and internet users that want to learn more about Multimedia Tools. This multimedia users group is a great way to learn new things about new digital tools and a great way to meet other people in your area who also use the same tools as you do to create multimedia.
